In 2013, Farah will be flying out from Malaysia to participate in the New York Marathon. Previously, Farah placed 3rd in the "Female Open" category of Malaysia's "Rat Race." We are excited to welcome Farah back to the United States!
“I always tell people that there are few things in life that you should do only once, such as a full marathon (totally mental), but here I am again, raring to go. This time however, I have a greater purpose because I am running for a cause. Raising money for the children and adults with CF, I am running for them, supporting their efforts to find a cure. I have a purpose, and am happy to be part of this wonderful opportunity.”

On July 4-5th, John and the rest of Team Forest broke a Guinness World Record in an effort to raise money for The Forest School's Olympic scholarship and the Essex Disabled Sports Foundation. The team broke the record for furthest distance run on a treadmill in 24 hours with a distance of 437.76km, beating out a team in Germany by 15km.
In the past year John has raised over $11,000 for charity.
"As Olympic year and with the school being so close to the Olympic site we wanted to leave a legacy for the children of Forest School. This seemed a fitting finale to everything else the school has done to create that legacy. The Essex Disabled Sports Foundation is a fantastic charity that provides sporting facilities and opportunities for disabled children. As the team's captain I felt especially pleased about beating the record. As a team we persevered through some extreme physical and psychological lows during the 24 hours to beat this record. The entire team and those watching were euphoric when we broke the record."

In addition to organizing yearly USO care packages, Tracy is the coordinator of various Chicago office events such as Shamrock Shuffle, JPMCCC, Warrior Dash and Soldier Field 10-miler. In the past four years, she has helped raise over $5,000 for charity.
“I just feel a personal and social responsibility to help, to do something. Everyone can do something. Don’t have time? Donate. Don’t have money? Volunteer. Nothing makes me feel better than helping, just trying to make lives better through a little compassion and generosity…and maybe getting your co-workers a little muddy along the way."

In the past five years, Paul has raised over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society through his participation in the annual Broad Street Run.
“In 2007, personal goals to be more physically active along with wanting to contribute to a notable charity for a variety of reasons, led me to participate in my first organized fundraising and running event. The Broad Street Run is the nation’s largest ten mile race, held annually in Philadelphia and where I joined the DetermiNation team which benefits the American Cancer Society for cancer research. It’s likely we all know someone affected by cancer, and having seen a close friend and his family battle this disease, there was plenty of motivation behind my feelings of wanting to do more for this cause.”

In the past three years, Jon has raised over $5,000 for the World Wildlife Fund by participating in the CN Tower Climb - a 1,776 step climb of one of the world’s tallest buildings!
“I feel charities are very important for society, and personally I like the World Wildlife Fund. People, myself included, are all too quick to buy the next iProduct, and often forget to give to things that matter. I started climbing the stairs of the CN tower annually in 2010, and I will probably continue to do it as long as I can.”

Through his dedication to the arts, Phil has raised nearly $4,000 for Ground UP Productions over the past two years. Here, Phil is pictured acting in the company's production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
“Working in the IT department always challenges my analytical mind but I find great balance and growth as a person in stretching my visual and imaginative artistic side. The arts have always been my passion. As Ground UP Productions Managing Director, I am on the front lines of finding ways to keep our small non-profit NY Theatre Company alive and thriving. New York theatre is extremely difficult and the recession just about removed all areas of funding towards the arts. We however are in our 7th year and have produced over 16 productions. Our continued success is because of all my dear friends and supporters at IPC!”

Since high school, Carol has always wanted to participate in a Team in Training event. Since joining in 2009, she has raised over $8,700 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
“Running a marathon was on my bucket list. By joining Team I was able to receive awesome marathon training and fundraise for a really good cause. Each event has an honored hero assigned to whichever city you are training with. Sometimes the honored hero is even a participant. This honored hero has battled either Leukemia or Lymphoma and is in remission. It’s amazing and inspirational to learn about your honored hero and their fight with cancer. It makes running 26.2 miles nothing compared to what they have gone through.”

Guy Gettens has been an annual participant in the Battle of the Bands, hosted by IPC. The event has raised over $100,000 for charity in the past four years.
“I have participated in the Battle of the Bands for 4 years now and each year it gets better and better. To be able to bring customers, employees, friends and families together to help charities is a great sense of accomplishment that IPC should be proud of. There are many volunteers who spend countless hours to make the event a success and more importantly, ensure every cent raised goes directly to the charity. Can’t wait for next year and I hope everyone supports the cause.”
