Lance Boxer

Lance Boxer is Chief Executive Officer of IPC. Appointed to the position in June 2003, Boxer brought 25 years of experience and success in the telecommunications services industry to IPC. A veteran of two of the world's most recognized names in telecommunications, MCI and Lucent Technologies, Boxer also headed up XOSoft, a leading content delivery solutions provider, and Sphera Optical Networks, an optical metropolitan service provider.
Prior to joining IPC, Boxer was Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Access, an innovator in global transport and network optimization services. He spent two years with Lucent Technologies where he was Group President of the Communications Software Group, which sold network management systems, intelligent networking software, billing systems and Internet software solutions. Boxer began his career at MCI, where he spent 16 years that culminated in a 2 ½-year term as its Chief Information Officer. Among his many responsibilities, Boxer oversaw the global development of the company's information systems. In 1996, 1997 and 1998 CIO Magazine included him among its "CIO 100: Top I.T. Performers." In 2008 Boxer was selected by Ernst and Young as "Entrepreneur of the Year", seeing his company grow from 200M to 700M dollars, acquiring 5 companies and overseeing the sale of IPC from Goldman Sachs to Silver Lake Partners. This award is considered by many to be one of the most coveted awards an executive can receive in business.
Boxer, who has been a member of IPC's Board of Directors since January 2002, has also served on the Board of Advisors for the National Science Foundation's Network Executive Committee where his expertise in networking and security was instrumental in developing launching the internet for commercial application, the Board of Advisors for Pacific Broadband, the State University of New York MBA. Advisory Board, the Board of Directors of the Collin County, Texas Children's Advocacy Center, National Children's Cancer Society, the Board of Directors of such companies as Advanced Network Systems and Digital Link. In addition, Boxer was a City Council Member in Fairview, Texas. Currently Boxer is the Chairman of the USO of Metropolitan New York and Chairman of the Land Use Board in Bedminster Township New Jersey.

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Tim Whelan is responsible for global sales, global operations, manufacturing, business operations, and business development. Whelan joined IPC in 1999 and served as IPC's Chief Financial Officer from 2001 until 2009.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2009, Whelan was responsible for all matters related to the company's finance and accounting operations, involving tax, treasury, and corporate finance. He also managed financial operations in Europe and Asia. His achievements include helping the company grow from a $200 million equipment provider to a $500 million plus global enterprise of trading floor solutions. As Chief Financial Officer, Whelan was also responsible for IPC's Business Development team and strategic corporate plans and transactions related to mergers and acquisitions.
From 1999 to 2001, Whelan was the Chief Financial Officer of Global Crossing's Financial Markets division, which included IPC and IXnet, a former IPC subsidiary. Prior to that, he spent eight years with Ernst & Young.
Whelan is a former Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, a Certified Public Accountant and earned a BS from Villanova University.

As Senior Vice President, Global Head of Sales, Barry Purkis is responsible for the management of the Network Services and Trading Systems sales teams, ensuring a high standard of conduct and sales excellence within the teams, new sales, geographic growth and revenue growth of existing services.
Prior to becoming Senior Vice President, Global Head of Sales in October 2009, Purkis was the Global Head of Network Sales since 2006, and before that the Vice President EMEA Network Service Sales. His responsibilities included identification of new business opportunities, ensuring business profitability, and the personal development of all team members in terms of individual competencies and team skills.
Before joining IPC in 2003 with the acquisition of Gains International, Purkis worked as Commercial Director at Gains from 2001-2003 and Director of Sales at Madge.web from 1999-2001. He worked for 4 years at BT holding the titles, Director of Sales UK: BT Syntegra and Deputy General Manager: BT Global Finance. Prior to BT, Purkis held multiple titles at VBand over 9 years, including Global Accounts Director, Director of Operations and Project Manager. He also spent 9 years in the British Royal Navy.
Purkis holds a CM and a DMS from the Open University and an MBA from Anglia University, both in the United Kingdom. Whilst in the Royal Navy, he earned a HNC and City & Guilds in Electronics.

David Dodd is the Senior Vice President, Managing Director of Asia Pacific. He is responsible for Trading Systems and Network Services in the Asia Pacific region.
Since first joining IPC and opening the Hong Kong office in 1997, Dodd was the Vice President of Sales in Asia Pacific. He significantly influenced the growth of IPC's regional presence to ten direct offices around the region, before becoming Managing Director in December 2007.
Prior to joining IPC, Dodd held a managerial role at Thomson Financial in Hong Kong.

Most recently Brown headed up the EMEA IPC Network Operations and prior to that was responsible for product management in support of the Global Network Business. Before joining IPC in 2003, Brown held various management positions within IXNet and Global Crossing and prior to that worked for Orange PCS and Rolls Royce PLC.

Israel Hersh is responsible for IPC's Research and Development. This includes designing, building, testing and supporting all of IPC's products and services.
Prior to becoming Senior Vice President of R&D, Hersh was the Vice President of Product Development of Trading Systems at IPC, responsible for the development, testing and sustaining of the Trading Systems products. Before joining IPC in 2001, Hersh worked for 16 years with Executone Information Systems, a telecommunication equipment company servicing small and medium size businesses in North America, where he held several positions. From 1984 to 1994 Hersh was the Director of Software Development of the PBX and voice mail product lines. From 1994 to 1997 he was the Vice President of Software Development of all products and from 1997 to 1999 he was the Vice President of Engineering and CTO. Prior to Executone, Hersh worked for 5 years with T-Bar Inc, a data communication equipment company, in product development and managerial roles.
Hersh holds a B.S.E.E. from Tel-Aviv University and an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Bridgeport.

As Senior Vice President, Global Services, Joe Smolarski is responsible for IPC’s Global Customer Service, Support Services, and IT organizations.
Within the global Customer Service organization Smolarski leads the Global Solutions Operations Center, (GSOC), located in London, New York and Singapore, the Global Maintenance Organization (GMO) and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) teams. The Global Support Services organization encompasses IPC’s Technical Assistance Centers (TAC, eTAC), Customer Engineering, Product Support, and worldwide Technical Training. Smolarski is also responsible for the Information Technology (IT) function at IPC globally.
Beginning his IPC career in Information Technology in 1998, Smolarski rose to our Vice President of IT in 2001. In 2005, while retaining his IT responsibilities, he became Vice President responsible for Network Services Operations in North America and, most recently, since, 2009 he headed up North American Operations for our Trading Systems business.
Smolarski earned a B.B.A. from Temple University, in Philadelphia, PA.

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, John McSherry is responsible for IPC's worldwide legal matters. As Chief Administrative Officer he is also responsible for global human resources.
Prior to becoming General Counsel for IPC, McSherry was Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Global Crossing's Financial Markets division, which included IPC and IXnet, a former IPC subsidiary. Before that, McSherry worked at the Enforcement division of the United States Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. He also spent five years as a Commercial Litigator with Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York City.
McSherry earned a BS from Fordham University and a law degree from Fordham University School of Law.

Marianne Leitch is responsible for IPC's Trading Systems Operations, Network Services Operations and Customer Service. These functions include planning and managing customer installations, troubleshooting and problem solving, expanding our network footprint and capabilities, enhancing our customer communications and interactions. Leitch is also responsible for setting the strategy and direction for service delivery globally to ensure that our internal service quality translates to external service value for our customers.
Prior to becoming Senior Vice President in January 2009, Leitch was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Network Services. Her responsibilities included IPC's Network Services business worldwide including network engineering, network operations, global sales and marketing and product management. Before joining IPC in 2000, Leitch spent 20 years with Timeplex, a network equipment company servicing the financial community, having held managerial positions in marketing, business development, sales support and finance. She has also held senior management positions with IXnet and Global Crossing.
Leitch attended Kean College in New Jersey and School of Visual Arts in New York with concentrated studies in fine arts.

Prior to being promoted to SVP, Speranza was the VP of Product Management responsible for all aspects of IPC's Trading Systems products globally. Prior to IPC, Speranza was the Senior Director of Product development at Avero, a TH Lee portfolio company focused on software and data warehousing solutions. Prior to Avero, Speranza was a Consultant at Deloitte within the retail and consumer business sector with an emphasis on supply chain and data warehousing.
Speranza earned a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

McHale joined IPC in 2007 as Senior Vice President Finance and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2009. He has more than 25 years of experience in senior level finance positions and was the Chief Financial Officer of Infocrossing, Inc., a leading provider of IT outsourcing solutions and a NASDAQ traded company until its sale in 2007.
McHale is a certified public accountant and holds a BS in Accounting & Business Administration from Kings College in Pennsylvania.
