In the

Community

Creating positive change in the world

We believe that what you give back is just as important as what you do. Our giving starts with our employees and helping them improve the world.

As a company and as individuals, we understand that success comes from investing in the future. And we know that’s as true for our communities as it is for IPC’s products and services.

Whether we’re delivering care packages or rebuilding campgrounds, the values at the core of our business - creating connections, delivering for people and striving to learn - guide how we approach the world and how we give back. Together, we’re building a better future.

Our mission

We strive to be agile in a changing world, anticipate change and deliver excellence, to help our world move forward. This mission shapes our lives every day, as professionals and as global citizens.

In line with those beliefs, at IPC we are committed to wellness and strive to create volunteer opportunities for our employees so they can:

  • Be healthy
  • Be happy
  • Have the opportunity to support the causes they care about most

How we’ve been giving back to our communities…

  • More than $1,000,000 raised over 3 years
  • 10,000 hours volunteered
  • 100+ care packages donated
  • 800 miles run
  • 400 holes played

We are proud that our efforts have already achieved a lot. But we are prouder to look forward to building on that and continuing to support our global communities. There is always more we can do.

Our People

We encourage and challenge our employees every day to give back to their communities. From assembling a “birthday-in-a-bag” for a child in need to running 26 miles to help beat autism, no act is too small. We notice, and support, every one.

Our commitment to improving the worldwide communities we serve helps create a better world, but also creates a better, more rewarding environment for our employees.

Get to know some of our employees and find out how they give back to the community. These individuals represent just a small selection of the hard working and generous people at IPC—people who strive to give back as a team with their co-workers, as well as individually in their own time.

Farah Koh

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

In 2013, flew out from Malaysia to participate in the New York Marathon, having previously placed third in the "Female Open" category of Malaysia's "Rat Race."

"I always tell people that there are few things in life that you should do only once, such as a full marathon (totally mental), but here I am again, raring to go. This time, however, I have a greater purpose because I am running for a cause. Raising money for the children and adults with CF, I am running for them, supporting their efforts to find a cure. I have a purpose, and am happy to be part of this wonderful opportunity."

John Macnamara

London, United Kingdom

On July 4 and 5, 2012, John and the rest of Team Forest broke a Guinness World Record in an effort to raise money for The Forest School's Olympic scholarship and the Essex Disabled Sports Foundation. The team broke the record for furthest distance run on a treadmill in 24 hours with a distance of 437.76km, beating out a team in Germany by 15km.

Proudly, John has raised more than $11,000 for charity.

"As Olympic year and with the school being so close to the Olympic site, we wanted to leave a legacy for the children of Forest School. This seemed a fitting finale to everything else the school has done to create that legacy. The Essex Disabled Sports Foundation is a fantastic charity that provides sporting facilities and opportunities for disabled children. As the team's captain I felt especially pleased about beating the record. As a team we persevered through some extreme physical and psychological lows during the 24 hours to beat this record. The entire team and those watching were euphoric when we broke the record."

Tracy Reece

Chicago, Illinois

In addition to organizing yearly USO care packages, Tracy is the coordinator of various Chicago office events, such as the Shamrock Shuffle, JPMCCC, Warrior Dash and Soldier Field 10-miler. She has helped raise more than $5,000 for charity.

"I just feel a personal and social responsibility to help, to do something. Everyone can do something. Don’t have time? Donate. Don’t have money? Volunteer. Nothing makes me feel better than helping, just trying to make lives better through a little compassion and generosity… and maybe getting your co-workers a little muddy along the way."

Paul Zatek

New York, New York

Paul has raised more than $10,000 for the American Cancer Society through his participation in the annual Broad Street Run.

"In 2007, personal goals to be more physically active along with wanting to contribute to a notable charity for a variety of reasons led me to participate in my first organized fundraising and running event. The Broad Street Run is the nation’s largest 10-mile race, held annually in Philadelphia and where I joined the DetermiNation team, which benefits the American Cancer Society for cancer research. It’s likely we all know someone affected by cancer, and having seen a close friend and his family battle this disease, there was plenty of motivation behind my feelings of wanting to do more for this cause."

Phil Ruvelas

Jersey City, New Jersey

Through his dedication to the arts, Phil has raised nearly $4,000 for Ground UP Productions over the past two years. His photo shows him acting in the company’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest.

"Working in the IT department always challenges my analytical mind, but I find great balance and growth as a person in stretching my visual and imaginative artistic side. The arts have always been my passion. As Ground UP Productions Managing Director, I am on the front lines of finding ways to keep our small non-profit NY Theatre Company alive and thriving. New York theatre is extremely difficult, and the recession just about removed all areas of funding towards the arts. We, however, are in our seventh year and have produced over 16 productions. Our continued success is because of all my dear friends and supporters at IPC!"

Carol Goodsell

Atlanta, Georgia

Since high school, Carol had always wanted to participate in a Team in Training event. Since joining us in 2009, she has raised more than $8,700 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

"Running a marathon was on my bucket list. By joining Team, I was able to receive awesome marathon training and fund-raise for a really good cause. Each event has an honored hero assigned to whichever city you are training with. Sometimes the honored hero is even a participant. This honored hero has battled either Leukemia or Lymphoma and is in remission. It’s amazing and inspirational to learn about your honored hero and their fight with cancer. It makes running 26.2 miles nothing compared to what they have gone through."
